The Roger Clemens Witch Hunt
Federal prosecutors may have indicted Roger Clemens for perjury, but it’s the actions of government lawyers, not the disgraced baseball player, that should be put on trial.

The government has accused Clemens of making false statements to Congress about his use of performance-enhancing drugs. The charges, as first reported by the New York Times, stem from testimony Clemens gave before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform in 2008.”  here

And now Clemens might go to prison for lying to Congress.  Ridiculous.

First, I believe what goes on in baseball (pick your sport), should stay in baseball.  It is and was, none of Congress business to stick their busy-body noses in a problem baseball might have with it’s players.  Clemens should have pleaded the 5th, but since he didn’t – who cares if he lied to those people – themselves liars.

The big question, and problem, is – who’s going to indite Congress for lying to the American people?  It happens consistently and repeatedly by representative after representation.  Senator after Congressman . . .  after President.

THESE are the people who should be held accountable, impeached and go to prison.  Not some baseball player playing a game.
